We dream of a future with more women and girls of color in STEM fields – and to create a pipeline of qualified women and girls to fill the growing need for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified drone pilots.
I’m Roxane Romulus and I fell in love with the world of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) – or drones – by an aviator with 25 years of experience in the field. Over the course of a year, I learned everything I could about the drone industry.
I founded Black Girl Drone World to help women and girls of color between the ages of 15-30 find their niche in their STEM careers with my signature program Drones Taking Flight. I teach women and girls to fall in love with STEM through drones just like I did, guiding them to a wide range of future careers in the world of drones.

In Drones Taking Flight, women and girls will learn about avionics, aerodynamics, and aviation. We’ll help you expand your views on future career paths, and shape important college decisions.
